Plusieurs millions d\u2019euros sont en jeu et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du voyageur n\u2019est pas n\u00e9gociable. Non, ne fuyez pas ! M\u00eame si son titre reste \u00ab barbare \u00bb, Mike est garant de notre s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e0 bord des trains. Pour cela, il r\u00e9alise via diff\u00e9rents bancs d\u2019essai une multitude de tests \u00e0 l\u2019AEF, destin\u00e9s \u00e0 v\u00e9rifier les fonctionnalit\u00e9s des organes vitaux, observer et mesurer leur comportement. Son c\u0153ur de m\u00e9tier r\u00e9side dans les essais d\u2019homologation et d\u2019investigation. \u00c0 son palmar\u00e8s, citons la Machine Essai sur Bo\u00eete Essieu, qui consiste \u00e0 v\u00e9rifier si le syst\u00e8me roulement\/ bo\u00eete essieu \/ graisse, tiennent le choc. Il faut dire qu\u2019ils sont malmen\u00e9s et pouss\u00e9s dans leurs retranchements, afin de s\u2019assurer que les essieux \u00ab tiendront la route \u00bb une fois mis en exploitation. D\u00e9coup\u00e9s en deux grandes \u00e9tapes, les tests se d\u00e9roulent en banc d\u2019essai (sur poste fixe \u00e0 l\u2019AEF) puis en ligne (en situation r\u00e9elle). Cet encha\u00eenement de simulations r\u00e9alis\u00e9es dans des conditions optimales met en avant la \u00ab French Touch \u00bb, levier concurrentiel ind\u00e9niable et reconnu pour convaincre nos clients constructeurs \u00e9trangers. Une fois la batterie de tests termin\u00e9e, un rapport final est \u00e9dit\u00e9 et pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 au client sur la fiabilit\u00e9 ou non des organes inspect\u00e9s, sans aucune indulgence. En effet, l\u2019obtention de la certification et de l\u2019homologation, n\u2019est pas une sin\u00e9cure ! Pour preuve, les nombreux crit\u00e8res \u00e0 respecter. Deux types de tests existent suivant le type de trains : les roulements \u00e0 basse vitesse, par exemple pour les trains FRET, pour lesquels une vitesse minimale de 132km\/h est \u00e0 atteindre sans emb\u00fbche ; et les essais \u00e0 Grande Vitesse \u00e0 352 km\/h pour les TGV. On ajoute 10% suppl\u00e9mentaires de force et de vitesse, car celle-ci est accentu\u00e9e dans les courbes, histoire de v\u00e9rifier la r\u00e9sistance. Il est vrai que pouss\u00e9 \u00e0 400km\/h sur le banc de test, l\u2019engin est observ\u00e9 dans ses limites !<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: JUSTIFY;\">D\u2019une mani\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, les essais s\u2019\u00e9talent sur une longue p\u00e9riode. Pas moins de 800 000 kilom\u00e8tres aval\u00e9s pour un TGV sur une dur\u00e9e de 6 mois, contre 600 000 pour un FRET pendant 8 mois. Mike a \u00e9galement en charge d\u2019autres bancs, comme le banc \u00ab canon \u00e0 ballast \u00bb K\u00e9sako ? Il s\u2019agit de reproduire de fa\u00e7on artificielle la projection violente de ballast sur des pi\u00e8ces (\u00e9prouvettes d\u2019essieu, ou pi\u00e8ces compl\u00e8tes : tags RFID, antennes, unit\u00e9s de frein, raccords de tuyauterie\u2026), afin de tester leur r\u00e9sistance et leur maintien dans la dur\u00e9e. K\u00e9sako, une fois de plus ? Une sorte de table vibrante sur laquelle des pi\u00e8ces sont mont\u00e9es afin de mesurer leur r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 ces conditions sp\u00e9cifiques. Pour illustrer concr\u00e8tement cet \u00ab engin de torture \u00bb : des tests r\u00e9alis\u00e9s sur des pi\u00e8ces fix\u00e9es dans les si\u00e8ges, les luminaires, les tablettes afin que le confort voyageur soit garanti en permanence, quel que soit l\u2019\u00e9tat de l\u2019infrastructure. Un dernier banc vient s\u2019ajouter dans le panel des comp\u00e9tences de Mike, celui de la flexion rotative. Il teste le mat\u00e9riau qui constitue un essieu et on s\u2019assure qu\u2019aucune fissure n\u2019appara\u00eet \u00e0 la fin de l\u2019essai. La conformit\u00e9 et la non-fissuration font partie de la grille de crit\u00e8res imp\u00e9rative \u00e0 respecter pour \u00eatre homologu\u00e9e.<br \/>\nMike est sur tous les fronts. Entre les points 5 minutes du matin, les suivis de prestation client, les \u00e9tudes et devis puis la r\u00e9daction des rapports finaux avec les indicateurs de performance, ses journ\u00e9es sont bien remplies. Cela n\u2019emp\u00eache pas ce passionn\u00e9 de vid\u00e9o de mettre \u00e0 profit son talent de vid\u00e9aste amateur \u00e0 l\u2019AEF. Il est anim\u00e9 par le d\u00e9sir de montrer le savoir-faire fran\u00e7ais et filme \u00ab ses \u00bb bancs (https:\/\/mattv.sncf.fr\/video\/393) afin de contribuer activement \u00e0 moderniser l\u2019image SNCF. F\u00e9ru de musique, artiste, auteur et compositeur, Mike a aussi utilis\u00e9 ce talent pour cr\u00e9er la bande son de la vid\u00e9o corporate de l\u2019AEF publi\u00e9e en 2019. Et en bon \u00ab chef d\u2019orchestre \u00bb, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019origine du concert durant la journ\u00e9e des 20 ans de l\u2019AEF en montant sa troupe de musiciens.
